WINE TOURISM DOMESTIC MARKET AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS IN RA
The changing demands of tourists create new demand for goods and services and are a driving force for the development of new types of tourism, including wine tourism. Wine tourism involves a wide range of experiences: visits to wine regions and wineries, tasting local wine and food, organizing a vacation at a winery guesthouse, interacting with a winemaker’s lifestyle, getting to know the local culture, etc.Visits to wine museums, wine-related events, and festivals have become very popular in several regions of the world, and competition is quite high in the “International Wine Tourism Market”. Armenia, more or less, is a new player in that market, and time and effort are required to create the image of a wine tourism country. This article focuses on the current state of the RA domestic wine tourism market, identifying consumer behavior and opportunities for the development of the sector. Understanding and developing the domestic wine tourism market can be the basis for progress in infrastructure development, which in turn will be the basis for entering the international wine tourism market.
