According to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. One of the constitutional rights of a person is the right to free choice of work, which includes the right to dispose of labor abilities, to choose a profession and type of activity. Indeed, work is one of the fundamental prerequisites of human existence, his natural right. It is not only the main means of ensuring human socio-economic, well-being, but, perhaps, the inner drive and vital need of a person.

Religion and faith are an integral part of an individual’s identity, like such inalienable characteristics as gender and skin color. A person’s religious affiliation is one of the key features of his individual identity, group identification, and self-realization. Therefore, the protection of the right to freedom of religious belief in labor relations, and the mechanisms for its implementation and limitation are given significant importance.
