       Abstract

This article explores the role and activities of the “Union of Lawyers and Political Scientists of Armenia,” established during the Republic of Armenia’s independence, with special emphasis on the scholarly contributions of its founder and president, Doctor of Law, Professor A. Baghdasarian.                         The study presents individual monographs and textbooks and comprehensively studies them.

Studying the national jurisprudence, it became clear that in the newly independent period a significant part of it was developed and created by A. Baghdasarian and through his efforts. The monographs, textbooks, scientific articles, works related to various areas of law authored by him are no less important today. Over time, the analyses and judgments expressed in them have changed significantly due to changes in the current legislation and the development of law, something that is inherent in science. Nevertheless, we believe that the study and summary analysis of the concepts developed by legal scholars, published scientific results and other significant achievements in this field in the modern period of the Republic of Armenia will greatly contribute to the completion of the modern Armenian legal and political thought.
