Abstract
The current Armenian business environment is undergoing a phase of rapid economic transformation, increasing integration with global processes, and active penetration of digital technologies. These dynamics are reshaping the patterns of organizational development and require the adoption of innovative approaches. In this context, corporate innovation has become a key factor in enhancing competitiveness and ensuring long-term organizational sustainability. However, the successful implementation of innovation largely depends on the nature of organizational culture. This study examines models of organizational culture particularly Edgar Schein’s structural approach and the Cameron and Quinn Competing Values Framework to assess their applicability in the Armenian business context. The research is based on a comparative analysis involving both innovative IT companies and traditional manufacturing enterprises. The findings indicate that flexible, creative, and collaborative organizational cultures significantly facilitate the adoption of corporate innovation, while hierarchical models tend to exhibit resistance to change. Effective implementation of innovation is achievable only in organizations that cultivate an open, adaptable, and value-driven organizational culture. The results of this study may serve as a practical foundation for improving management strategies and fostering an innovation-oriented environment in Armenian businesses.
