Abstract
Komitas is not only the pinnacle of Armenian musical art but also a tender poet. Dozens of Komitas’ poems have been preserved and reached us, which are unique expressions of his inner world as a poet. Komitas’ perceptions of poetic art are a new word in the history of Armenian literary thought. His love poetry stands out for its special lyricism, delicacy, and richness of emotion. His love songs reveal the secrets of the great songwriter’s soul—the anxieties and happy expectations, concerns, and dreams of the loving heart. In the genius’s inner world, love blends with nature, expressing the enchanting beauties of his emotional world. The song of maternal love stands out in the poet’s lyrics. Komitas’s orphan-hood and the lack of a mother’s love nostalgically hang in the firmament of his delicate soul. The soul of the patriarch of Armenian song is a unique crucible of music and poetry that will forever fascinate and surprise people. Komitas’ music and poems are among the treasures of Armenian and world culture. By studying and examining the poetic world of the great songwriter, we notice that of special interest are the pieces of love poetry. Moreover, the most important part of Komitas’s poetry are his many poems dedicated to nature.
